January brought the opportunity for young people to be actively involved in recruitment of a Registered manager for the South Area.
John(named changed) not only raised formal questions for the candidates which he posed alongside a support staff member, but hosted an informal meal for the three potential recruits. Feedback from this process was excellent.
John said 'Meeting the new person who's going to be the boss was great' and having the opportunity to 'See if they are nice people'. was important.
His participation was weighted as part of the recruitment process and proved to be an accurate and successful judgement of the candidates. Well Done.
