Timeout Homes specialises in working with young people with:
Specialist work is undertaken with young people and their care teams to ensure individual issues are immediately and appropriately addressed – Timeout also links with local fire services to provide appropriate programmes for young people with fire setting behaviours.
Through proactive risk management and detailed self harm care planning – Timeout has successfully managed young people with high levels of self harm many of whom have spent time in mental health provision. All care staff are trained and skilled in working with young people who self harm and receive ongoing input from and experienced CAMHS practitioner who acts as a consultant.

Our work with this group of young people acknowledges the harm they have done to others whilst also identifying and supporting strategies to deal with their vulnerability. Our focus is not solely on the young person as a perpetrator but rather on the goal of moving them onto healthy non-abusive lifestyles, supported by the promotion of self efficacy.
Timeout Homes have developed a structured programme to ensure maximum planning and preparation

Timeout Homes appreciates the considerable difficulties experienced by young people who have spent a number of months in a highly structured, protective and restricted environment. Timeout is aware that young people often experience real difficulties with this transition and pre-release programme is designed to meet individual needs and enable young people to return successfully to living in the community.
