Welcome to Timeout Homes - Care and progress under one roof.

Therapeutic Delivery at Timeout Homes

Timeout has developed a holistic approach to therapy based on an attachment model this encompasses both care and education.

Each young person has a dedicated core care team who are trained in Attachment and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.

Through the use of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Residential Workers are provided with the skills and knowledge so that they can become the catalyst through which a young person may change old habits, destructive responses and maladaptive behaviour patterns.

The team meet regularly with The Director of Therapeutic Care to discuss strategies and pinpoint targets from an attachment perspective for every individual young person.  All living environments are set up to promote and maintain positive attachment principles based on individual needs.  This starts with the rota system with staff working 2 days on and 4 days off to enable young people to develop positive relationships, the actual homes, the attention to sensory based attachment principles and the high level of nurturing offered on a consistent basis.

In addition regular therapeutic consultations are held with both registered managers and key workers which are written up and available in the young person’s file for all the care team.

Specific areas of Therapeutic work for example life story work, identity, and affect regulation are identified, planned and delivered, either in house or by specialist practitioners employed on a session basis all therapeutic input is supervised, monitored and evaluated by Director of Therapeutic Care.
