Meet Our New Head of Education: Tayyaba and Her Vision for Our Schools

23/01/2024

As the new year starts, we are thrilled to welcome Tayyaba as our new Head of Education. With a wealth of experience in the education sector, we are excited to see how her leadership will positively impact our school community. Our education department is currently reviewing the curriculum across all three of our schools, with a focus on outdoor learning, building positive relationships, and peer learning. By welcoming diverse and skilled staff to our team, we aim to provide our students with the best possible learning experience. In this blog post, we explore Tayyaba’s vision for our schools and how we hope to make a positive change under her leadership.

During my recent chat, Tayyaba shared her passion for creating a holistic learning experience. She believes that education should be focused on the whole child, rather than just academic performance. One of her goals is to build a curriculum that promotes outdoor learning. Outdoor learning not only provides students with a break from the classroom but also helps develop their curiosity and creativity. She believes that nature is a powerful tool that can be used to connect students with the world around them. By learning about the environment, students can develop an understanding and appreciation for nature and how it can be protected.

In addition to outdoor learning, Tayyaba also emphasized the importance of building positive relationships. She believes that students learn better when they feel valued and supported. Creating a positive school culture is important for building healthy relationships, which in turn can lead to better academic results. Tayyaba plans to support and train our teachers in developing positive teacher-student relationships.

Another aspect of Tayyaba’s vision is to promote peer learning. She believes that students can learn from each other, and that building collaborative relationships can lead to better academic outcomes. Peer learning also helps build critical thinking and communication skills, which are essential in today’s workforce. By incorporating peer learning into our curriculum, we can promote self-directed learning and equip our students with the skills they need to succeed in their future endeavours.

One thing that impressed us about Tayyaba is her emphasis on diverse and skilled staff. She believes that every staff member brings unique skills and perspectives to the table, and that by embracing diversity, we can create a richer learning experience for our students. By recruiting individuals with diverse backgrounds and skills, we can provide our students with a well-rounded and comprehensive education.
We are excited about the future of education in our schools under the leadership of Tayyaba. Her vision for holistic learning, positive relationships, and peer learning resonates with our values and beliefs. Our diverse and skilled staff are committed to creating a learning experience that promotes the whole child, rather than just academic performance. We invite local authorities and parents to attend our open days to see firsthand the great work that is happening in our schools. By communicating with parents and carers through our regular newsletters, we hope to keep them informed about the latest developments and activities happening in our schools. We are looking forward to a bright future and making a positive impact on our students’ lives.
