Cooking Up Wellbeing: Chef Joel's Private Classes at Brearley Hall

At Timeout, we believe that looking after our staff and carers isn't just a nice extra, it's at the very heart of everything we do. That's why we're thrilled to share something rather special happening right here at Brearley Hall.

A Home Fit for Wonderful Experiences
Brearley Hall has always been a place where good things happen. With its beautiful spaces and, most importantly, its fantastic kitchen facilities, we're lucky enough to offer our team something you won't find just anywhere: private cooking classes, hosted exclusively for staff. Having our own well-equipped kitchen means we can bring these experiences directly to you. No queues, no crowded classes, no travelling miles away. Just a warm, welcoming space where our team can come together, learn, and enjoy each other's company. It's these facilities that make moments like this possible, and we couldn't be prouder to put them to such good use.
Meet Your Host: Chef Joel
Leading the way is our very own Chef Joel, who'll be sharing his flair and know-how across three sessions over two days. In that time, he'll demonstrate three healthy meals, showing you just how simple, tasty, and satisfying good food can be.
These aren't complicated recipes reserved for professionals. They're fresh, wholesome ideas you can pop straight into your weekly meal plans, whether you're cooking for yourself at home or preparing something nourishing for a child in your care.

What You'll Take Home
We want the good habits to carry on long after the class ends, so every attendee will leave with:
Recipe cards to keep and cook from again and again
The ingredients to make one of the meals from the lesson
It's a lovely way to try something new without any fuss, and a gentle reminder that eating well can be easy and enjoyable.
Why Wellness Matters to Us
These classes are part of our wider staff wellness programme, built around a simple idea: happy, healthy people are at the core of a happy, healthy community. Our staff and carers give so much of themselves every single day, and looking after your wellbeing is our way of giving something back.
Good food, shared learning, and time spent together do wonders for both body and mind. When we invest in you, we're investing in the whole Timeout family, and that's something we'll always make room for.
Save Your Spot
Spaces are limited, so we'd encourage you to book early to avoid missing out. Once they're gone, they're gone!
Come along, roll up your sleeves, and discover just how good it feels to cook, learn, and connect. A heartfelt thank you goes to Chef Joel for sharing his time and talent to make these classes so special.
Here's to looking after one another, because at Timeout, your wellbeing will always be worth celebrating.
In next month's blog you will see the fruits of your labour with photos and more from our cooking classes.
